CONGRATS TO NEW MOM'S & DAD'S

The baby package has 4 little harnesses that attach with safety pins.  They are very simply made as the babies, of course, can't carry much weight.  This package should not be ordered if the baby is over 1 week old!  Preferably it should be ordered shortly before the baby hatches.  If they are ordered when the baby is over 1 week old, they may pretty much outgrow it before you get it or shortly thereafter.
The baby harnesses are helpful in that they get the baby used to wearing a harness at an early age (start at about 1 week), and they do control a lot of poop.  They aren't foolproof, however, as babies with no tails are much more difficult to fit than older birds.  Now, as soon as I say, "they help the baby get used to wearing a harness,"
everyone with an older bird is afraid that they won't be able to wear them.
NOT SO.  I have successfully diapered many older birds and most took to the diaper just fine.  The most important consideration when diapering a duck or goose is that they be IMPRINTED ON HUMANS and preferably on the person diapering them.
